Dr. Grzegorz (Greg) Rzentkowski
Director, Nuclear Installation Safety

Greg Rzentkowski joined the IAEA as Director of Nuclear Installation Safety in March 2015. He is responsible for providing programmatic support to IAEA Member States in establishing the appropriate safety infrastructure and continuously improving the safety of nuclear installations during site evaluation, design, construction and operation, Greg has over 35 years of experience in mechanical and nuclear engineering. He began his nuclear career in 1989 in Ontario Hydro, the largest utility in Canada, as a Senior Research Engineer in the area of plant equipment dynamics and plant safety analysis. Since joining the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission in 1995, he has held progressively responsible positions in management of technical and regulatory programs, including reactor safety analysis and design assessment, and licensing of new reactors. In 2008, he was named Director General of the Directorate of Power Reactor Regulation. In this position, he was responsible for development and implementation of a regulatory framework that provides assurance that Nuclear Power Plants in Canada are operated in a safe manner. He also chaired the Fukushima Task Force which developed Canada's action plan for implementation of safety improvements. Greg holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has served as Adjunct Professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He published several research papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings, and proprietary reports prepared for the Nuclear Industry. Greg is active in international organizations and comittees to contribute to advancement in nuclear safety.

Liu Chongdu, male, received his master's degree in 1996 and now works as a senior engineer at research fllw level, the highest ranking of engineers in mainland China. He is the deputy director of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant and oversees the maintenance and repair of the power plant after working in various positions with responsibilities including, in time order, the supervision and technical support of equipment building, the purchase of nuclear power equipment and the supervision of the equipment installation, the supervision of the regular inspection and maintenance and the overhauls of the nuclear power reactors.

He hosted several national and provincial scientific research projects, and gained a number of patents and IPRs.

Len has more than 30 years of nuclear power operations experience with roles in operations, engineering, projects and maintenance. Len joined Bruce Power in 2009 and was most recently the Vice President of Nuclear Maintenance Services. Len was appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer in August 2012. Prior to joining Bruce Power, Len held senior leadership roles including plant manager, site engineering director and operations manager. Len was previously licensed as a senior reactor operator at a Pressurized Water Reactor and performed in the control room supervisor and shift manager roles. Len spent 14 years with Florida Progress Corporation and came to Bruce Power from Xcel Energy in Minnesota. Len graduated from Lehigh University, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has also obtained a Masters of Business degree and a Professional Engineer's license.

Currently, he is a chairman of Hanvitpower, In., an honorary chairman of Korea Engineering Asset Management Association, a principle-member of International Society of Engineering Asset Management, a chairman of the board of Korea Atomic Energy Research and Development Association, an adjunct professor at Pukyong National University, and an advisory professor at Inje University. For important positions, he had served as Head of Construction and Development at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, a board member of KEPCO Plant Service (KPS) and KEPCO Nuclear Fuel Co., a chief of Maintenance Planning, a head of department of Business Innovation, a head of department of project planning, a head of department of Machine and Instrument and Control, a vice-chairman of Project Management Association, a vice-chairman of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers. Zeng Hao is the chairman of the board of China Nuclear Industry Maintenance Co.LTD., secretary of the party committee, fellow senior engineer, model worker of state-owned key enterprise. He has been awarded second prize of Science and Technology by Nuclear industry association, and has one national patent. Zeng Hao has been committed to applying more than 30 years of experience in nuclear power construction management and installation of main equipment of nuclear power supervision and maintenance. Under the leadership of Zeng Hao in the past three years, China Nuclear Industry Maintenance Co.LTD. has acquired 60 national invention patents and new practical patents in total, and been certified as a national high-tech enterprise. Besides, the company was also awarded "Five Star Provider"of JNPC, and the only¡°Five Star Provider"of CGN's operation section in 2017.

He works as Assistant General Manager of Suzhou Nuclear Power Research Institute, CGN. He has 35 years¡¯ of experience in nuclear power, and has gained the honor of ¡°Outstanding Member of Communist Party¡± and ¡°Model Employee¡± of CGN. The teams he led have won first prize of Suzhou Science and Technology Progress Award, third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award, Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Inventions, Gold Award for Geneva Patented Inventions, first prize of Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress Award, second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and so on.
