  Sebastien Caillaud, PhD in Mechanics, began his career on Research and Development in EDF. Since 2017, Sebastien Caillaud is the head manager of the Maintenance Group at the corporate level of EDF Nuclear Fleet. The Maintenance Group gathers about 110 experts and reliability engineers in several fields: I&C, electrical components, rotating machinery, valves, pipes, ventilation, pressure vessels and civil engineering. It defines preventive maintenance programs and strategies for exceptional maintenance for the main stake equipment of the whole EDF Nuclear Fleet. It also ensures technical supports to NPP.

  Dr. Gheorghe Vieru is currently PhD and Senior Scientific Nuclear Security’s Research Worker at AREN/c.o. Institute for Nuclear Research. He got his PhD on Reliability Engineering and Risk Assessment at Transylvania University of Brasov, in 1997. His background is in EE-Electrical Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Jassy, Romania. He joined to the nuclear field in 1975 and received education on nuclear technology at STUDSVIK NUCLEAR, Sweden under the IAEA Vienna as a fellow. Within Institute for Nuclear Research he led the Reliability and Testing Department where he carried out studies and experimental reliability parameters determination for nuclear equipments and installation, risk assessment on safety and security for RAM transport in Romania. He served as CSI-Chief Scientific Investigator for 8 IAEA Research Contracts, among these potential radiological consequences evaluation due to RAM transportation and storage was of high priority. He is an IAEA technical expert since 1996. He was Romania’s representative at the Nuclear Security Summits in Seoul, (2012), La Hague, (2014), and Washington, USA (2016). He is the author of more than 150 published scientific papers on nuclear technology.
